It's Not About Me

About the Book

In response to many requests, the second and updated edition which scrutinizes and challenges much religious dogma to expose fact from fiction such as: Jesus Christ was crucified on a Wednesday and not Friday in the Jewish month of Nisan of the year 31 CE, and the Christ was born into this world in the month of September of the year 3 BCE and not the traditional Christmas day of December 25.

After the destruction of the World Trade Center by Muslim extremists in 2001, Anthonie studied Islam to identify the reasons for this deplorable event.  He subsequently discovered numerous contradictions and misinformation in Islam as well as other faiths.  While writing about this and his own Christian faith, Anthonie’s exploratory journey shows the Biblical truth and exposes the misinformation from prominent atheists and theists who proclaim a pagan Christ.  Moreover, he shows that each person should critically examine their beliefs as well as the blind assumptions that were given to them in childhood.

Readers' Commentary & Reviews

“Anthonie den Boef’s ‘It’s Not About Me!’ is an engaging and detailed objective review of much evidence that informs and supports his worldview.  Appropriately subtitled ‘An exploration of my faith in the one true Creator’, he bravely delves into a broad variety of subject material which he carefully and thoroughly analyzes and inspects his faith in the light thereof.  This is no simple ‘blind faith’ exercise but a diligent and rigorous undertaking reminding me of the Bereans’ pursuit of truth.  His exercise becomes transitive as it draws us into re-examining our own faith, our own belief system, and ensuring we are not embracing inconsistent or incompatible beliefs.  As ‘iron sharpens iron’ this one person’s exploration will sharpen the minds of many others.”

“Anthonie's extensive professional experience in exposing truth and falsehood through rigorous analysis is clearly demonstrated in this book.”

“It can be common for many people around the world to believe in GOD or in some cases a god or in some cases more than one god.  Have you ever had questions about your faith or other religions?  I’m betting that you have. This book is a wealth of knowledge which puts together the answers to many questions that have crossed the minds of people and at one time or another.

“The author, a Christian, comes to us with an analytical background from the world of corporate finance. He takes a very critical position as he analyzes faith and religion - his subject in this book. The book serves people who currently attend a Christian church as well as those who at one time attended or those who never crossed the threshold of such a building. Regardless of your background this is a must read.

“The contents are exceptional for those in a book club as well as for those who choose to read alone.”
